SBC10: Blog Audit

  • Including this post, I have made 29 posts and I posted my first blog post on August 5th, 2016
  • I have three categories. Assignments (school assigned), Weekly Posts, and the Student Blogging Challenge. I have posted 8 in the assignment category, 7 Student Blogging Challenges, and 13 Weekly Posts.
  • I have gotten 56 comments on my blog, only including the ones that were published.
  • I received the most comments on SBC4 where I got 25 comments. I think it was because it was on natural disasters and people commented about what happens where they live.
  • I enjoyed writing a lot of the weekly posts but I mostly liked the tutorials.
  • I changed it but the reason I had another one was because it was named “Miranda”
  • In total, I have 16 widgets.
  • I have many blogs on my blog roll, but I found about 4 people over seas and I couldn’t find the location for 10 of the blogs.
  • I don’t know what web tools I have used to be honest.

That’s all the questions now see you all later. Oh and I am not doing a weekly post this week because I did one last week, sorry. Anyways… Bye!

SBC9 Show Off!

Today, I have to give a little shout out. So for today, I have a small shout out to a certain blog. So from Hawaii, I have a special someone to shout out. First, I am going to just mention that this person is actually on my blog roll. But I am going to shout out…

Thanks Taylor for commenting and being so nice on my blog!

  • I learned how she likes to look at the DIY’s on my blog and she actually used my blog as a small commenting shout out too.
  • I think what was cool was that on her side bar it shows her recent visits and you should go and visit so she can get a lot more visits from all around.
  • In her About Me post, she lives in Hawaii and likes cooking, acting and playing sports and according to her post has traveled for theater. She has some pictures of some cookies that look really good.
  • I think you should really go check out her blog because it’s great. She has really nice comments too so maybe you could go leave one too.

That’t it for today and thanks again to Taylor. Anyways… Bye!

Hello every body! Today, I have another weekly post. So I really don’t have a lot of… ideas left. I am not very creative by the way. But thank goodness Christmas is coming! I’m so excited. So today I am going to share my FAVORITE Christmas Movies!!!!

  • “How the Grinch stole Christmas” I like the cartoon and the other movie both.

  • A Christmas Story

  • Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer

  • The Nightmare Before Christmas

  • Frosty the Snow Man

  • Santa Claus is Coming to Town

I have a lot more favorites but these are just a few little movies that I really love. Now I am going to tell you a little about my little brother’s Christmas. So when my brother was about 3, and he would be sad or mad or whatever, we might have let him open an early Christmas gift. So when my brother knew the alphabet, but not how to spell, he realized that his name started with a B. So he would secretly try to open his gifts. He would open any gift that had a B on it. So one time, he opened one that was for my friend, Brooke. He came to me asking why I got him girly stuff and then I realized…

Now for this Christmas I want a laptop and some other stuff on my list, but that’s it. Please don’t be afraid to comment and if you want to comment, tell me about your favorite Christmas movie, or a funny story about Christmas, or what you want, maybe even all of these. Oh and I am running out of ideas for these weekly posts, so leave a suggestion in the comments as well. Bye!

SBC7 Part 2: Green Activity

For my interview, I did my little brother, Brandon. He is 7 years old by the way so his answers might be funny/ cute. I quoted him exactly by the way. Okay, Q: represents the question, and A: is his answer.

Q: Explain your dream of what you want to do when you get out of school and why?

A: I want to be a business man. That’s because I can make a lot of money and I could learn more languages and I could explore the world.

Q: What would be your dream vacation and why?

A: My dream vacation? Uhh… the beach because I could ride with the dolphins… I mean swim with them… or I could ride with them… just kidding!

Q: What is your favorite sport?

A: Basketball

Q: What is your favorite school subject:

A: The part when I go home, just kidding. Uhh… math.

That’s it! Cute answers… right? Well stay tuned for next time… Bye!

SBC7 Blue Activity

For my Blue activity, my question to research is, what is my dream when I get out of school.

Hopefully I go to college, I want to go to Cal Berkeley, and when I get out, I would want to be a professional soccer player and if not I would want to be a pediatrician at a local hospital like Kaiser Permanente or John Muir, which is why hopefully I would go to college. I would want to find a nice house in hopefully around Discovery Bay, California. I would hopefully have some pets (preferably dogs) and maybe a relationship. I would want to be happy with whatever I am doing. Maybe if those don’t work out, since I love soccer, I might become a coach. I would want kids but that will be later. Then my family and I can live happily. (Hopefully… remember this is a dream!)

So… My life is boring. I don’t have anything to post about. But Thanksgiving is coming up. So I’m going to say some stuff that I am thankful for. I will not be here all next week because we have a break. But I am thankful for my family. I know that everyone says that but it’s true. I am thankful for my friends. I am thankful to be able to go to school everyday because guess what everybody! Some kids actually can’t  go to school and I know that is cheesy but it’s true. I am thankful for the good health that I am in. I am thankful for my house and my food. I am thankful everyday that I can wake up in my warm bed with my parents in the room next door, and my siblings all there. I am thankful I can go and get ready in some nice clothes and go downstairs to eat a lovely breakfast and pack my lunch for school. I am thankful for the food I eat, the clothes I wear, the family I have, and the home I live in, Happy thanksgiving everyone!

Veteran’s Day WP11

This week’s post is on Veteran’s day. I just want to thank anyone first who has fought or is fighting for our country. (USA) If you know anyone who is fighting for our country, make sure to thank them for their service because they had to risk a lot to go out and to do that even if they had families, or not, to come home to. I know that Veteran’s day is tomorrow and a lot of people aren’t going to see this until tomorrow or after. But this is a very important day and anyone who served for their country deserves a thanks and appreciation. So once again, thank you to all of you veteran’s out there. That’s it for this week’s weekly post and sorry I couldn’t post last week because our whole class was busy but stay tuned for next week’s weekly post. Bye!

Best Blog Post SBC5

So today’s post is about the best blog post ever. Now my version of a best post ever is.. soccer! You probably saw it coming. So if you are new to my blog, I am in love with soccer. It can be stressful but I still love it. Soccer is great and I’ve been playing since I was 3. (9 years) Now for my post I am going to tell about my soccer life.

I play for a club here in the bay area of California. The name of the club that I play for is Ajax East Bay. Click that name if you want to visit the website… but this is my 5th year on my team. Right now I am on the 03 girls soccer team. Click that name to see a page on the website of us. But I love what I play and I love the friends who are basically family. ( By the way, I’m number 23 )I am in love with this sport and I love the anxiety and intensity. I do get frustrated with keeping up a 4.0 and soccer and I do cry sometimes if I get home late and can’t do homework, or if I disappoint my team or can’t focus and do something right on the field. But at the end of my day, I love what I get to do. I love looking for my parents in the crowd, I love getting high fives by my team mates and their parents, my coach never gives any body high fives, just makes them go harder. Soccer is really my life. I am also one of the main players (I usually play the entire game) so if I do something wrong and get pulled out, I get angry because I love to play and I want to help my team.

I do get injured a lot! I haven’t broken any bones but sometimes I come home with a black eye, a big bruise on my arms and legs, turf burns, scrapes, scratches, cleat marks, and yet I still play on. I usually come back from games and tournaments all beat up, sore, and tired. I do get hit in the ankles, knees, head, arms and legs and they will hurt a lot. Usually if I get hit on my knee, it will hurt too much to run a lot or walk normally so I might just limp through the rest of the game and not do PE. I might get hurt, but you can’t stop me from playing that easily!

We have normally 3 practices a week sometimes a break (rarely) but sometimes we have an extra practice. We have to go on this trail sometimes where we run there and back and the whole trip is about 3 miles long. Sometimes we have to run it twice! We go to tournaments and have games and we have some good games and you can see our game scores on our website. But that’s it I guess… bye!

I am doing Activity 1 on Mrs. Smith’s blog.

Some natural disasters that happen where I live are earthquakes, fires, and prolonged extreme heat. We have prepared at school for fire drills, earthquake drills, shelter in place drill, and an intruder drill. For a fire drill, we have an alarm and all line up and evacuate in a single file and organized and go to the basketball court and line up in lines. I actually made a little list of what to do:

For an earthquake drill, the speakers from the office tell us when it starts and when it ends. Every one gets under their desks and tucks under and holds the desk legs. Click this little link to watch a little slide show/ video.

In a shelter in place drill, we seal the doors and windows. This drill is in case there is toxic fumes or chemical spills outside.

And finally, in a lock down (intruder) drill, we lock all the doors and windows and turn down the lights and be silent and wait for it to be clear. Click down below and watch the next slide show.

At home we really haven’t discussed it. I haven’t really experienced any of these except for prolonged heat, which here we call it summer, lol,  anyway… That’s really it and I have no advice to give because I haven’t experienced any of this in my lifetime.

DIY Halloween! WP10

Halloween is right around the corner and I am sooooooooo excited. This week I am going to give you a couple of DIY decorations!! The first one is this super cute little jar that you can put some candy or pencils or anything you want. mummy-jar

So you really just need a jar with some ribbon or toilet paper or just a white strip and glue it on to your jar. You just have to wrap up your mummy and glue on some eyes. You can choose to put a little light inside to make it super cool looking or not.

Next are some really cool paper spider webs. Get a square piece of paper and fold it into whatever size triangle you want. Then cut a round edge on the bottom so you have a triangle with a round base. Then on the closed paper side, cut out little lines and unfold your new spider web!!!

Lastly it is incredibly simple, you just get orange balloons and draw little faces on them as if they were pumpkins. Simple!

Have a spooky Halloween guys! Bye!!!
